LGBTQ+ Legal Resources Project

LGBTQ+ Legal Resources Project

Overview

The LGBTQ+ Legal Resources Project of the City Bar Justice Center provides free legal information, advice, referrals, and occasional limited-scope representation to income-eligible LGBTQ+ New Yorkers in a variety of subject areas like discrimination, estate planning, and family and housing law.

The Project also offers periodic legal clinics and information sessions on a range of topics. Sign up here if you would like to be notified about these events.

If you need assistance on a specific LGBTQ+ legal issue, contact the City Bar Justice Center’s Legal Hotline by phone during its operating hours at 212-626-7383 or anytime via its online intake form. Our Hotline staff are LGBTQ+ affirming and trained on LGBTQ+ legal issues. Our Hotline additionally includes bilingual attorneys who speak English and Spanish, and we can accept calls in any language through interpreting services.

For any additional questions and inquiries, you can email the LGBTQ+ Legal Resources Project here. Emails will be reviewed and receive replies as soon as possible, generally within 1 week.
