City Bar Justice Center Appoints Jaclyn Kramer as Inaugural Director of Advancement
New York, August 7, 2024 – The City Bar Justice Center is pleased to welcome Jaclyn Kramer as the Justice Center’s inaugural Director of Advancement effective September 4, 2024. In her new role at the Justice Center, Jaclyn will lead an expanded and reformatted communications and development function in line with the Justice Center’s strategic plan launched in October 2023 – Honoring Our Roots, Revisioning Our Commitments – and two of that strategic plan’s four goals: growing visibility and resources to widen our organization’s reach and deepen its impact, and strengthening organizational capacity to more effectively and efficiently serve Justice Center clients and engage with volunteers and other core stakeholders.
Jaclyn joins the Justice Center following a six-year tenure as the development director for Volunteer Lawyers for Justice in Newark, NJ, where she tripled unrestricted revenue, doubled individual giving revenue, and implemented a major gifts program that included creating a five-year matching endowment campaign; planned and executed a successful annual gala and a suite of other fundraising campaigns and events; and managed donor stewardship, board development, and development prospect research. Jaclyn previously held development roles at Covenant House International, Human Rights First, New York Institute of Technology, the Long Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and West Point Association of Graduates. Jaclyn has also published articles and has spoken to national conference audiences on a broad array of development topics, and serves as a member of Covenant House New Jersey’s Newark Program Board for which she has served since 2018 as a Sleep Out Team Leader.
A graduate of Providence College with a degree in political science and minor studies in public and community service and in Black studies, Jaclyn also has completed certificate programs in Foundations of DEI from Rowan University and in Social Media and Branding from City College of New York.
