Small Business Resource: Legal Structure Fact Sheets
by CBJC Staff October 12, 2017
On October 3, 2017, the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project (NELP) hosted an educational workshop on Determining the Right Legal Structure for Your Small Business in collaboration with the Pace Small Business Development Center in Lower Manhattan. At this workshop, attendees were provided with information about the various types of legal forms available to small businesses, such as sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies. The following Entity Formation Fact Sheets are resources developed by NELP which provide a basic overview of the steps an entrepreneur should take to create each type of legal structure. For more information about how to set up your business from a legal perspective, please contact NELP via email or (212) 382-6633.
