NELP and Partners Empower Small Businesses on Annual Financial Institution Pro Bono Day
by The Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project April 22, 2024
The City Bar Justice Center’s Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project (NELP) was proud to participate in the 5th Annual Financial Institution Pro Bono Day, providing legal assistance to NYC’s small business community alongside 33 dedicated attorneys from Ares Management, Barclays, Bloomberg LP, and Latham & Watkins LLP.
The pro bono day clinic was a testament to the power of collaboration, as volunteers from esteemed institutions came together to serve twenty entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds and industries. From answering contracts questions to providing guidance on entity formation, tax and intellectual property matters, volunteers helped guide clients on their entrepreneurial paths. Access to legal assistance is crucial for small businesses to thrive, and clinics like these highlight the incredible impact that pro bono work can have on our communities.
A huge thank you to all the attorneys who generously donated their time and expertise, and to the entrepreneurs who trusted us to support their journey towards success. Together, we can make a difference one business at a time.
