Pro Bono Best Practices Panel

It was a packed room of pro bono professionals at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP today for the Best Practices Session of the City Bar Committee on Pro Bono and Legal Services. City Bar Justice Center Executive Director Lynn Kelly moderated a panel of pro bono experts addressing questions of what worked well and what didn’t work in pro bono this past year, and how to deal with chaos and a constantly changing landscape. The panelists were Adam Heinz, Director of Pro Bono at Legal Services, NYC; Alicia Bannon, Senior Counsel, Democracy Program, Brennan Center for Justice; Harlene Katzman, Pro Bono Counsel, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP; and Marlene Halpern, Director of Pro Bono Services, Center for Reproductive Rights.
