Angela Ni, Paul Hastings LLP

Angela Ni has made an incredible difference in the lives of veterans during her time volunteering with the Veterans Assistance Project. Since joining the Veterans Assistance Project in 2011, Angela has taken on several cases to directly represent veterans in applying for disability benefits. One such case involved an Army veteran from the Gulf War era who had been raped while in the service and suffered from mental health issues. The veteran had been denied for a PTSD claim, and Angela helped her appeal the denial, obtaining a 100% disability rating for her client, over $150,000 in a lump sum retroactive payment, and a monthly award of over $3,000 moving forward.

Not ending her engagement there, Angela went above and beyond in directing the client to money management resources to safeguard her new assets. CBJC is extremely grateful for Angela’s diligent efforts in assisting our veteran clients.
