Capital One Lawyers Create Team to Help Homeless Families

Bank of New York Mellon Volunteers Help Victims of Hurricane Maria at City Bar Justice Center January FEMA Appeals Clinic

The City Bar hosted the fourth FEMA Appeals Clinic on January 22, 2018 to assist victims of the 2017 hurricane disasters with FEMA-related matters. Nine volunteer attorneys from Bank of New York Mellon’s legal department and one solo attorney teamed up to lend a hand to nine clients in-person and via telephone.

USCIS Reverses Policy on Rejection of DACA Renewal Applications

On Wednesday night, November 15th, however, as a result of the persistent efforts of immigrant advocates and coverage of the issue by the New York Times, USCIS reversed this policy. It now will allow applicants who were mistakenly rejected to resubmit their renewal applications, provided they have proof that they had mailed them in a timely manner.
